Exporting step etc.

Hello there I'm also a newbe in unigraphics and I was wondering how to export step, iges etc. files. Is there a special application to be needed or is this a standard package?

There are a couple of ways to do this. Hopefully whoever setup your system installed the translators that came with UG. This is the best way I have found to do what you want. Another way is to do a "File: Save As" command.

you can use two ethods,


:-file >export>iges/step


file >save as>select the apropiate translator


hope rhis will solve your problem.

There is also an additional way - & this will allow multiple files (batch). Go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - UGS NX 4.0 - TRANSLATORS. Choose the appropriate translator, whether you want import/export & then browse & choose your files you want translated.
