Education vs Professional verison

Hello All,


I had a part was saved in the Pro/E education version and I tried to open in the Pro/E professional version, but I couldn't. Does anyone has any trick, please help.

I think you need to get a specific license file or add in that allows for this. We had one at BU and I was able to open all the files I created during my co-op at PTC.

I believe this only works with educational files and not student edition.

If you record and run a trail file (This is not possible in Student Edition) in the Professional and Educational Edition Pro/E same version WF2 WF3 etc and do a save you can investigate the differences in the file. I had planned on doing so but no longer have access to professional Pro/E.

Of course PTC would not look kindly on this but you can decide if you want to do so. You may also PM me the files so I can check it out myself for purely educational purposes.

Try to contact PTC or a Local University and try to figure out what it costs to be able to do the File Transfer Legallly.
