dynamic analysis

Does any body know is it possible to create dynamic analysis like this? (in Pro/Mechanica)

What kind of feature should I use to simulation "conncetion" between ball and plate ?

Mechanica cant do any dynamic analysis.
For Dynamic analysis you have to use MDX, but there you can't calculate the deformation of components.

A wayto doit could be to calculate the spring caracteristic of the system with a contact analysis in mechanica of the ball laying on the plate(global sensitivity study dependingon the load on the ball) and use this spring caracteristic in MDX, but I'm not sure whether there is a possibility for non linear springs in mechanism.

i have a short tutorial for you. please let me know your e-mail, and i'll send it to you.

Hi rami-n,

i send You private message with my e-mail adress.

Thx in advance for your feedback.

Sorry for my unclear statement.
The dynamic analysis possibility of Mechanica are vibration analysis relating to the modal analysis.
But there is no possibility to handle dynamic forces of different bodies.

Hi all,

anybody now what does it mean "Engine is not conected"? What kind of Engine?

I can run Structural analysis, but I can't run the Motion analysis. Can anyone suggest a reason why this happens.

Thanks in advance

misiek

Mechanica motion is no longer supported. It is replaced by MDX.

I don't know the motion module, but I know, that there is some additional SW required.

Hi all,

Thanks walkerone,

your link help me understand difference between Motion & MDO. We dont have possibilites to create contact analysis (two bodies- deformation of components) in MDO.

"Does Pro/ENGINEER Mechanism Dynamics have the same functionality as Pro/MECHANICA Motion?

Pro/ENGINEER Mechanism Dynamics has more functionality than Motion in
some aspects of mechanism dynamics simulation, but in other aspects,
Pro/ENGINEER Mechanism Dynamics will not initially contain all
functionality currently offered in Motion (such as custom loads). The
plan is to rapidly develop Pro/ENGINEER Mechanism Dynamics to include
all popular Motion functionality."

I hope that PTC will fast improve MDO.

I understand that I have to use Pro/Mechanica Motion to create contact analysis (two bodies), but how? I have problem with "engine"...

thanks in advance

misiek

Hi,

you need have installed MS Visual C++ v6 and set of environment property MM_C_HOME=\install directory

Try to find some older topic about "Motion engine..."

Good luck...
