Our company just purcahsed another company that had every drawing in AutoCAD. The mission now is get these .dwg (at present) into .pdf documents for quote and shop floor. Here are the issues: First, there are 45K drawings and some have color and some that don't. Yellow is the worst for plotting. Forget Pro/e! Pro/e opens the .dwg and alters the font sizes and dimensions then overlaps. Too much clean-up required. Is there a script that can be run to batch convert and print through Adobe - DWG to PDF? I have manually converted a few drawings where thepdf now has the color drawing and when sent to the printer through Adobe the lighter colors do not show up. I need to turn off the color at thedwg level, convert and then pdf in batch. Batch convert and print.
I have used a program that batch converts DWG to PDF but this is just batch converting the original dwg files with color in it to pdf files with color in it.
