.dtl file

I made a bunch of changes to a .dtl and when I read it in some things don't change. Same as 1994 Pro/E actually. Read in the .dtl file and cross section arrows don't update and I think they should update to the .dtl file. The dimensonal arrows will fill when changing that line item but other things don't update like the cross section arrows.

Im making a call to everyone to have a dtl setup that they like and can they share.... or better cut and paste lines you like and explain why.

Where is the setting to change the cross sectional arrows to .25?

display_tol_by_1000 YES

If you wish to know where the settings are.... File -
>properties-->drawing options...
You may sort them by category.
I use the metric units, hence my dtl file may not be of
help.

It is my understanding that the dtl file gets applied as soon as you create the drawing, and not each time the file is loaded into memory. To test your new settings, try starting a drawing from scratch.


I'm afraid to change the dtl settings of an existing drawing, you may need to just go to file>properties>drawing settings, and change them in there, then save.


Also, check out the detail properties of the format you're using. I've found that they can conflict with the dtl file sometimes...

I don't know if this may be related to the problem you are having but the config.pro option drawing_setup_file has a note that certain options are only valid with a license for Pro\DETAIL. I haven't looked to see which ones require it.

Are you using MODEL Check. There might be a possiblity that the .dtl file might get changed to the original .dtl file when model check is used
