Drawing same name as part

Hi,


how do I automatically give my drawing, created with the "File/new" command, the name of the Part or Assembly it is being generated from?


as in can Iuse something like the &dwg_name used in tables/formats??


help appriciated,

I believe we have had this issue before James..

If using templates you can link your template drw to your template prt and have proe to create the drw at the same time as the prt or assy. (If working without link to a workspace)

true and very benificial it was!


but this is for a PRE EXISTING assmebly.. so I dont have the that luxary!

so baically I hace the 3d geometry created from a few months ago (before that thread) and now want to create the drawings for it, and I just want to minimise the possibility of typo's etc and make life a little easier!


so it's a little different.. bu I have been using the previous method with success for other assemblys!
