Dimensions Color

Beam

New member
Hi everybody

Is there a way to have dimensions and textalonea different color than yellow.Keeping dimensions lines and line arrow default.

The goal is to have more contrast at printingthat make dimensions and text to pop up from other charateristics in drawing. Like having contours line more noticeable than hidden lines at printing.

Thank you.

N.B.; maybe there is adifferant technicthan modifying the color, but it works well for now with normal setting at printing.

Hi, Beam!

I can describe the my method:

1. Start Pro/E;

2. Open an existing Drawing;

3. View -> Display Settings -> System Colors;

4. Press "Highlight - Edge" and fill in R:0; G:255; B:255

(See Changes on the screen);

5. Then save as syscol.scl in the directory, where your config.pro file is;

6. Add to your config.pro the next option

(For Example):

system_colors_file D:\Work_Comp\pro_config\syscol.scl

7. Save config.pro and restart Pro/E.

It will be like this:

Hi Pro-Grizzly ,thank you for your hint.

I tried your method but ithas not worked. I currently use WF2.0 and the color scheme I can see on your example seem to be the 2001 release and before. Maybe it is the reason why it does not work????

I followed exactly what you say but there is no change on the screen. Dimensions remains the same default color (yellow).

Are you sure that the parameter to change is "Highlight - Edge"???

Thank you anyway.

Hi, Beam!

I use WF 2.0 (M070) too...

OK...

There is the other way to solve your problem.

Here is my "syscol.scl" file:

2005-07-24_122510_syscol.rar

For check out of workability of my method do following:

0. Unrar the file to c:\

1. Start Pro/E;

2. Open an existing Drawing;

3. View -> Display Settings -> System Colors;

4. Then File -> Open -> c:\syscol.scl -> OK.

Try this... and let me know about results.

Has someoneother techniques?

I tried everything mentioned and did not manage to control this aspect.

I tried with modified config.pro colors setting, with syscol.scl ect.

Nothing to do. I do not know why it works fort you Pro-Grizzly. I tried everything we exange each other..

Try set up the drawing option

line_style_standard STD_DIN

This way text on the dimension is slightly bolder than yellow (in other word, text becomes "highlighted edge" property).

Hi skraba
