Database Linking with part

Does anybody know how to link database

(Excell,Access) to the pro-E part in Assembly file.



I have a list of parts and other information in Excel table.When i click on any data in Excel file the relavent part should get highlighted in Pro-E with both the window opened(Pro-E and Excel)

First the objects must be added to the allowed objects list by your admin.



Then use object>import from a workspace to import the xls, pdf etc. files. Select the part file then object>modify relationships.

change the relationship type to user defined and then pick the files you want to be associated with the part and add them with the arrow buttons.

that won't enable them to highlight but will cause them to be related in Intralink so when you pull the part the xls file is also pulled.
