Custom Dimensions

I have a model of a building, and i am trying to create drawings of it using scaled dimensions,ie. the model of the building is 60 ft (720 in) long, and I want the drawing dimension to show up as only 20.5in. I would like to leave the model unchanged, so is there a way to apply a scaling factor (like 1:35) to all of the dimensions in the drawing?

I've also tried creating a custom unit for length. This works ok, but it only applies to the assembly. When I try to use this cutom unit in each component of the model, it is not available. is there a way to make the custom unit globally available?

I don't know whether it is possible to scale the dimension values in a drawing (I have never had a situation where that was necessary), but you can override and change the value to whatever you want by preceding the dimension with a

I have another problem, though the topic "custom dimensions" is relative :)

I've created a drawing of a revolve solid (Top and Right views). I've transferred dimensions with Show/Erase function. However, because of this revolving feature the main dimensions are only half of their real values.

For example, if I have a hole, instead of showing [diameter symbol]20, it shows R10. How can I solve this issue? And is it possible at all to make custom dimensions as it can be done during simple sketching. Thanks.

In the sketch, when dimensioning a diameter on a revolve, you can either click the line, then the centerline, and then the line again.MMB willplace the diameter dimension instead of the radius. BTW, it makes no difference if you click the entity two times and the centerline once, or if you click the centerline twice, and the entity once.

Speaking of buildings.... I was at the Baxter prototype lab the other day and they have modeled the entire city of Chicago down town sky scrapers. They contracted Baxter to making rather large SLA prototypes of Chicago for the Chicago City Mayor's bid to win the Olympics.
