created a cosmetic 'groove' on a cylidrical part to indicate an engraving zone- want to show this cosmetic as a phantom line style in the drawing. would prefer tohave it on the model rather than just sketch a rectangle on the sheet. any ideas? jrobi
on the model- pick the cosmetic- right click- edit, select the ENTITY(best to pick from list) and right click once the entity is selected, pick properties- line style is available from there. show up on drawing as the linestyle you have selected.
2001 approach: In the model, you can choose "Modify > Line Style" and change the line style of cosmetics or datum curves. In the drawing, you can choose "Format > Line Style".
