converting iges to sheet metal

Normally this would not be difficult but the way this is imported as a surface i am unaware of any way to make this into a sheet metal part does any one have any suggestions

After selecting IGES under file type check the options button to see different options for importing the file. are you getting a single surface or a surface with open area that don't form an enclosed volume?

If it is one side of the sheetmetal body as a surface you can try using the thicken command.
