Control length of flare-bevel-groove weld

I need to control the length of a flare-bevel-groove weld. Please see image below:


When I try to create the weld, I'm not given an option to control the length of the weld. Any ideas?

perhaps you chose continuous weld instead of staggered.
I have not used proeweld extensively. This is my guess.

There isn't an option for staggered or incremental. I've tried to use other types of welds, but that doesn't work, either.
