configuration of family tables

When you add columns to a family table the cells below contain validated data creating a pull down menu (Y,N,*). Is there a way to change the data that is listed in the pull down menu?


When I select a component that contains a family table (parta.prt),I would like to set up the main family table so that the pull downs contain the instances of the component that has been inserted into the family table. (parta_inst.prt, parta_inst2.prt, and so on)

Other than typing the instance name in, only other choice is to


Tools > Relpace Using > Family Member (This will open up list of instances.)
