Circular Spring

insert>sweep>protrusion...thats the simple version

Salam Khurshid,


Its very simple. Do the following steps:

  1. <LI>Sketch a circle of your desired dia.</LI>
    <LI>Click on the vss icon on the right.</LI>
    <LI>Now click on sketch toolbar.</LI>
    <LI>Draw a line from the origin and angle to the vertical line. Create two dimensions; one the length of the line say sd1 and the other angle of this line to the vertical. Make sure the line is in the first qudrant.</LI>
    <LI>Now click on Tools--> Relations and enter the following</LI>


sd6=trajpar*360*sd5


where sd6 is angular dimension and sd5 is the lenth of the line. Your sketch dimensions may be different than this.


6. Now click on ok.


7. nce again click on the vss icon on the right, and select the outer edge, it will select half ofthe circle, nw hold shift button on kwyboard and the select the rest half side.


8. Now click on sketch toolbar and sketck a circle with dia. of appropriate dimension.


9. Hide the first vss and first sketch in model tree and enjoy.
