Changing the path of the Configuration fi

Hi,

Anyone knows how to change the path of the Configuration file (options/files/menu, help etc/configuration file)??

I created a new user profile in windows and to get the same setup I copied all the information under the old username to the new username (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1744546,00.asp) but the problem is thatthe path for the configuration file is still pointing to the old user profile in windows. C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2004\R16.0\enu\acad2004.cfg.

Thanks

Autodesk\AutoCAD 2004\R16.0\enu\acad2004.cfg.

you are talking of ProE configuration or AutoCAD?

if your talking pro, the simplest way to do it, and also least likely to get you ripped by the 'administrator'. is to place the 'old' config file in a folder, just where it is now,. name that folder accordingly, and place the 'new' config in the directory the old one had been residing in.

What I ended up doing was to change ROAMABLEROOTPREFIX in the system registry. Everything seems to work fine.
