changing surface colour in assy

Hello,


I have a problem with changing colour of the surface in assembly component. the component have a family table also. please see the picture. Please help me on this.

In the tube part try creating surface copies of the surfaces you want to change the color of and apply colors to the surfaces. Add the surface copy features to the family table and select YES or NO to have the feature included in the part instance.

But is ther any other method to do it without creating surfaces.

You can selecta surfaceand change the color in the part but because they are part of a family table the color will change in all instances. You'll need to make a surface copy to apply different colors to an individual instance surface. To select a surface at the assembly level it has to be a surface created at the assembly level.

If you select Component in the dropdown box, you should be able to change the individual component colour in the assembly.
