BOM Baloons Out of Control

Hi everybody

I am working with a large assy drw (aprox 5000 parts and sub-asemblies) that has to be revised.

When I check it out (Intralink 3.x) and open the drawing it looks like someones dropped a bomb in the drawing. The drawing views has moved and all thenotes and BOM baloons that have attachment has moved. (Probably because of parts has been added to the model that affects the outer boundaries of the views).

I figured out that a drawing view can be fixed using a config.pro option that relates the view to a coord sys. This does not help me now. Another tip for future cases would be to use free point notes in this cases.

Does anybody know what I can do?

Thanks, and greetings from Sweden,

/Pablo

Twoways are there, oneis to alter the scattered views and baloons to get the desired drawing as per your requirement and another way is to start as new, i mean creating and adding up new views and baloons. Thats a big pain in the drawing

halo pablo

first - Are You sure downloaded "latest" version of drawing? - Sometimes it happens like so, when You download not the lates iteration of drawing with the latedt models

second - check other iterations. If Your drawing is the latest one, check the prvious iteration if it has the same problems. If not check it out, modify and check in again

I assume same causes can come from different versions of used Pro/E. I met same things while opening drawings from 2001 on WF 2.0.

Thanks guys,

My plan was to check out with the option "As stored" to try to view the drw as it was before but Intralink gives me a long list of family table driven comps that I am supposed to choose a version of.

I will probably re-contstruct the drw from scratch, uhhhh.

Thanks again,

/Pablo

I suppose You can also download elder version with latest models to check if it a problem only with the latest version of drawing?
