automated assembly

Dear friends:-


I have steel structure assembly and I am kind of repeating the same steps with just difference in the distance ...


for example I have one main beam and I am attaching columns to it so I start with the first one then I repeat to of the constraines cuz they are same and just when I align this column to the first one I give distance ...


Any one can help automate this process or is it possible with ProE?

If your design allows, you may try to pattern them using Table pattern. Table pattern is available for features, I am not sure whether it is available for components. Proe is not open at the moment
If you know the positions, you may also have a reference point on Component A and then start assembling the Component B using "Repeat".

I tried using Pattern and it solved the problem but still have to assemble 2 parts .


I will try the reference point method ...Thanks for your help.
