eDrawings is free software that lets you view and print eDrawings(eDRW, ePRT, eASM), native SolidWorks documents (sldprt, sldasm, slddrw) , DXF, and DWG format files.
I downloaded edrawings and opened my AutoCAD file in it. Now I'd like to "save as" EPRT and I'm seeing only the choice for EDRW.
So I save as EDRW and then rename file extension to EPRT (because it seems like these are ambiguous file extensions that would all be recognized by edrawings) and I can open it just fine in edrawings.
Is this the appropriate method, or am I missing something?
You opened a DWG, i.e. drawing file, the only option you have is edrw. Autocad doesn't have part files that edrawings recognizes.", DXF, and DWG format files."
