assembly xhatch in dwg.

When I show section views of parts in a drawing, the xhatch for the material shows correctly. When I assemble the parts and then section the assembly, all of the parts show the default xhatch. This forces me to toggle through each part in the assembly and manualy retreive the correct xhatching. The parts definitely have the correct material and xhatching assigned to them. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

PTC tech support solved this one for me. The *.dtl file option "crossec_type" default setting is "old style". This needs to be changed to "new style" (I have no idea why.). I tried iton several of my assembly drawings and the correct cross hatching assigned to the part will show. You (I) will still have to adjust the spacing and angles if you do not like what you see, but it still takes you another step closer to having a complete section view. Remember, Pro/E does not store the crosshatch type with the part, but it does store the material properties, and by default it will look for a crosshatch type that has the same name as the material. As long you you have crosshatch names that match all of your material property names, and the search paths to the directories where these are stored are in place, Pro/E will show the xhatch in section views.
