Assembly - Patterned Parts

Can anyone please providesome guidance onassigning a unique name to a patterned part within an assembly? What topic(s) do I research to accomplish this task?

As this component exists only once in memory it is impossible. You can verify it if you look at their session-IDs.
But you can leave out one position and assemble another component there manually.
