I've just watched the current video CREATING VIEWS OF VARIABLE OPEN POSITIONS FOR A LIVING HINGE MODEL and it reminded me of a problem I never resolved.
How can various views of a family tabled part be accurately aligned on the drawing?
What I would like is the views to have a common datum (such as the bottom edge of the clam opening in the video).
Currently, I align by eye by putting a draft line on the sheet and then approximately lining up the views, or, if it is critical, export to AutoCAD and produce the final drawing there. Both methods are obviously imperfect and repetative if changes are made to the model which affect the views.
Any solutions much appreciated.
