adding groups to family table

I am trying to add a group to a family table, yet when I select "group" from the family table menu it says "No group found." How do I add it?

I just found out that local groups can't be added to the family table. WHY?????


I have about 300 components to "turn on and off" based on the groups. My family table is going to be HUGE if i select them one by one!!!


Any thoughts on how to handle this?

You can add groups but instead of selecting by group chose by feature.
Then you can pick your groups in the model tree

From what I can find the Group selection on the Family Items dialog box can only be used with table driven UDF features.
