adding component in layer

hello all
I have some standards components witch I'm using usually when mounting an assembly. this components have together a comon parameter.
When inserting these components in my assemblies, I hope that will be created in automatic a layer witch will contains these components.
I'm trying with def_layer option, but it seems that doesn't function.
someone has an idea?

It should be possible via a layer rule.

What is the common parameter? And, does this common parameter have a common value?

Below all models with the letter "A" in the DESCRIPTION parameter are selected. Both assemblies and parts are selected.

Other options allow you to simply check for the existence, or non existance, of a parameter, without it mattering what the parameter contains.
