unable to unbend

This part should be produced by a press operation in a shaped tool an is therefore not suitable for regular unbending in proe.


You could use the feature flatten quilt. Be aware that this feature wil not take bend allowance in consideration and the feature has it limitations.


If you have the possibility to redesign the corners where you have overlapping deformation areas, and there by get the part into regular sheetmetal bending, that might also open for a unbend.

Did you try Deform areas on the bends?


I think you started this in solids?


I don't think it's going to work.


I can play this the pro file if you want to send her off.
 
Could you post the actual Pro/E part? The IGES comes in as a pile of surfaces.


If all else fails, X-Section unbending can unfold just about anything; it can return strange results though.
