JLink : Sync Vs ASync Applications

hemuman

New member
I have been writing JLink applications from last 5 years and formed my views about Sync and ASync applications. Here are my views,

Sync- A bit complicated to setup and run.
ASync- Easy to set up and run.

Sync - Fast Startup, Fast Creo Operations.
Async- Slow Startup, Slow Creo Operation.

Sync - Dies with Creo session.
ASync- Can live without Creo Session and connect/disconnect when ever needed.

Sync- Good for limited application scope.
ASync- Good for enterprise applications.

Sync - A bit lengthy process to Debug and Test,
ASync- Very Easy to Debug and Test

That's all I can think as of now, please add your opinion as well.

Thanks,
