UG License Server on Linux

Hello All,

Does anyone know if it is possible to install UG Flex licensing server on a Linux server?

TIA

Yes. We run the Flex Licensing server on Linux to server our UG NX licenses. It also servers out Pro/E licenses, Abaqus/Simula licenses, Mentor Graphics and ModelSIM licenses, even our old SolidEdge licenses (those are for some old Windows machines we keep around in case we have to open old SolidEdge models and assemblies).

We run all our FlexLM licenses on Linux servers. It should not matter whether you server is Linux or Windows. The license should run on any FlexLM server. Most of our applications run on Linux, so the people pulling the licenses (clients) are running on Linux. But we still serve some legacy Windows applications like SolidEdge with the Flex License server running one Linux. The Flex license server is designed so that you can have it run on any platform (Linux or Windows for example) and serve out as many licenses for as many different products as you need.
