"Splitting" geometry

I have a rather complex geometry (from an IGES file) that was originally created to be segmented (think of a flat plate with a Z-fold). I need to be able to specify these fold angles and have the geometry change accordingly.

My question: is there a way to split this geometry on the fold lines (it was given to me with fold angles of 0 deg.) so I can manipulate the individual pieces within Pro/E?

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but let me try. Have you ever created a spinal bend? Spinal bends allow you to manipulate features, but it can also deform the part a little. For example. If you needed a straight compression spring to bend, you can use a spinal bend to make it appear bent, but it also deforms the part a little. Email me for more info. [email protected]
