Hi There,

I really hope someone can help me. I am VERY new to Solidworks and just
need to draw a simple cylindrical cone. It needs to be 9mm long,
1.71mm on one side and .61mm on the other.

I have searched google endlessly but all topics relate to something much
more advanced.

I appreciate the time and any words of wisdom

Thanks!

Keaton

Or maybe make a circle on a plane, then a line on another plane that is 90 degrees to the circle plane, then a new plane in the end of the circle that is the same orientation that the first circle and do the last circle on that. then you can use ether swept or lofted in the features.
hard to write what I mean.

from side.

plane _____-------________

Keaton,

You can accomplish this with a single revolve feature.

1. File>new part
2. Insert>boss/base>revolve
3. select a plane to sketch on, for example "front"
4. sketch, and dimension your cone
5. Exit the sketch and select the line you want to revolve around.
6. Viola! Now save the part.
