Drawing Template with Two Sheet formats!

For anyone who wishes to use different sheet formats for a drawing
template (one for sheet 1 and one for the other sheets), they usually
have to directly load the correct sheet format for the subsequent
sheets. I have discovered how to do this without requiring any action
from the user. The steps will be posted tomorrow on my blog. In the
meantime, I've posting a preliminary article here:

This has kind of been the holy grail when it comes to Sheet
Format/Drawing Template manipulation in SolidWorks. I wish someday
SolidWorks will embed this functionality into SW, but until then, the
method I found will work great.

UPDATE for SolidWorks 2014: SolidWorks 2014 now has a second sheet setting in Document Properties. Fancy workarounds are no longer necessary. 2014 What's New in SolidWorks - Sheet Formats

I am fully stuck when following your steps, actually i have created a format and template. In that when i add second sheet, same format is arriving. Check out my queries in colored font...

<h3>Instructions</h3>


In Windows Explorer:


1. Save a backup copy of the current sheet 1 (This means - format file .slddrt) and multi-sheet Sheet
Format files. Also, save a backup copy of your Drawing Template. Do i need to take multisheet format file's template also?



2. Rename multi-sheet file, such as adding an underscore in front of
its name. For example, if your multi-sheet file is named

A: Your sheet format for multisheets does not have a template. Just make back up copies of your two sheet formats for this step. Then back up your drawing template.

5. Open your Drawing Template. (Is it a empty drawing template or the backed up template)

A: Open the current template (not the back up).

6. Load your renamed sheet 1 Sheet Format. In the example above,
this would be
