reg. new origin in assy

hi

while creating a part in an assy,(not for the first part being created)

it will be showing a dialog box reg. choosing an origin....

what does it mean?

can u help me in this regard....

this message only occurs when the assembly has an origin. This mean that u already inserted a part in that assy(even if u deleted).

In this case catia allow u to create a new part in the assy at a specified point(not in the axis system of assy).

I think u noticed by now that any new part(sub assy) will be insert ed in catia in a default position (the axis system of assembly - same as the first part inserted in the assembly)

an orgin is need for every component in assembly. so it ask you the orgin.

steps you will do while creating a part inn assembly

1.create a part.
2. select the plane
3. and then you will select the orgin in that plane, where the part is tbe created
