Hello All,
I recently began working for a company that has made a practiceof saving a separate copy (non-parametric) of a part file in the tooling directory. They have done this so they could adjust tooling dimensions to get the actual production part to match the part drawing...
Example: A part drawing calls out a .500 diameter. The actual molded part measures .510.
How are you going about making adjustments to your tooling without effecting the part model drawing dimensions, yet still retaining parameterics? Having (2) separate, unrelated models has proved dangerous (and expensive)!
Any advice greatly appreciated! Thank you!
