Embeded datum inconsistency error

SW

New member
When I regen I get the following message:

*** ERR: Embedded datum inconsistency error.

How can I find the embedded datum easily so I can sort it out?

Pro/E gives writes an error file, but this doesn't help and Modelcheck doesn't seem to help either?

I have run into that before as well... annoying. I was lucky, because I knew exaclty where I was tweaking in my model, so after pulling a couple of datums out of a few features, the error message went away.

There needs to be a better way to track it!

Dont use embedded datums its just a reciepe for error
messages.

Most of the time this will happen when you have a non-
embeded feature, you reference it for other features and
then you embed the datum into a feature. Then at that
point all of the features that reference that datum will
complain except for the feature its embedded into.

If you embed the datum right away it will not allow you to
use it as a reference.
