Hi All,

We as a company

are experiencing a lot wastage of time while creating connectors with insert arragnments and entry ports. Does anyone knows if we can buy the complete connectors library with entry ports of various suppliers and types example: amphenol and mil standards.

Cheers!

RSD or Pro/CABLE.... most are available for free from the connector manufacturer in the form of IGES files. Once imported simply add your CSO with Z in the correct direction.

Thanks bart. But thats ok if you find an exact part. but as there are quiet a large number of say 38999 connectors and very few models are there online. So you either have to modify what is offered on website or create it from scratch. And not forgetting all the models are in not sold models.. So first you have to make them solid.. and for that .. need a higher licence.

We need symbols for RSD and fully detailed connector models for Pro/Cabling

Cheers!

Sounds like an option smoothsax.. I have to get back to my management about the idea. mcad-tech we are looking to get something off the shelf and dont want to go into details that how we want our connectors to be designed (but basic things like dimensions, profile and entryports).

Someone actually suggested me to buy the complete electrical pro engineer library for few hundered dollars. But i am still looking an avenue to explore. Anyway guys if i find some source will put it up on the forum.

Thanks All!!

Also, if you have an active license of PCX, then you can download the connectors library from PTC. Go to the Tech Support page on PTC.com and then click on Order or Download Software Updates. When you get to the list of downloads for Pro/ENGINEER, scroll like 90% of the way down the page to Wildfire Libraries. You should see the Connector library there. It contains 38999's as well as a lot of other standard connectors. E-mail me if you need help finding this.
