How do i model this?

I need to model something similar to this where the handle blends into the body. I can sweep the handle but don't know how to make it blend to the body. Any help?

Awesome stuff there Jacek.

Just out of curiosity, you used projected arcs to trim the surface to make the 4 sided Boundary Blend patches . Are there benefits to using arcs instead of straight lines or splines? Does that create better continuous surfaces (C1, C2....G1, G2, etc) or is just personal preference?

If this design is at the conceptual stage, then try the
freestyle modeling in Creo Parametric.

This shape can be easily achieved from a basic primitive as
in a cube or a sphere.

Freestyle uses sub divisional modeling techniques to create
high quality nurbs surfaces which can then used to create a
fully developed parametric solid model.

big thanks for kind words

It is mainly driven by personal preference. I tend to build those curve in such way they seem to follow "shape" of trimmed boundary.

anything that involves analytical surfaces and hard edges, is hard if not impossible, to model with freestye, good luck modeling this easily in freestyle :)

Any chance you can upload your version of this model ?

I have always been impressed with your examples.

Do I see a bounding box in this models future ?

I wanted to design a handle that flowed into a part as opposed to looking like in was stuck on as an afterthought. The yellow photo was a good representation of this and Jacek captured the design intent beautifully. However, other examples of how to attach a handle or maybe connect two parts with smooth blends would be most welcome.
