Drawing Faceted Surface

Hi All,

I am trying to draw a 3D model in ProE of a faceted
surface with a constant thickness.

The surface would look something like this:

but with a shell like shape instead of solid like shown.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You could create the initial shell shape as a solid, then extrude cuts (on angled datums) to create the faceted appearance. I'd then just pick the outer or inner geometry, Copy -> Paste -> Thicken to create the constant wall thickness.

I realize that many of these types of models are based on some kind of symmetry or math, but I"m not sure how complex an approach you're wanting to take to the design process.

You can also use the shell command after you have modeledit solid.
