I would like to place a note in a drawing that was created using J-Link. I am able to place a table, but when I try to place a note I get the following error.

Oddly, I can place the same note by clicking on the screen to get the desired postion. It appears that I do not have the drawing active and must to place notes but not tables. Does anyone have any hints on what is causing this and how to get around it?
