hi..

i have a simple mechanism.....ihave a cam die mechanism in which a horizontal motionis delivered by virtue of vertivally applied force.......a wedge shape is used tosetup this mechanism....i have tried using CAM Connection .. but it does not works....can any one tell me how to do it?

what kind of error you are getting?

you should gve the Slant surfaces as a cam contact surfaces and allow the disegagements.

have you checked the Director vectors for each wedge?

regards,

siva

have you setup the other connections other than the cam one?

u need some type of connections and drivers to move the top body closer to the bottem body.

also a slider connection to allow the horizontal motion of ur clamp style parts.

if u have trouble upload the parts. and i'll fix it for u

hi

im qasim , i m using pre wildfire 2.0 .

is there any body to help me to design a mechanism of 6 simultaneously sliding teliscopic cylinders out .

is there any option in animation mode to perform such animation .

i will be very thankful to that person who will help me .

mechanical01,

In addition to the notes by PupPet and Siva, do the following:

Make one of the cam surfaces slightly curved, to make a line cam
contact and not a full surface to surface. Also, if you can, make the
two cam parts extruded in the same direction. MDX/MDO can fail
sometimes when these two conditions are not met.

My 2 cents.
