Geometric symbols in parameters

I am working on a j-link program and need to add
geometric symols (diameter, depth, etc.) to model/
feature parameters. Does anyone know the character
sequences (if any) to do this? I tried unicode
characters, but they came out as ? marks.

I found the answer on proefaq.com

<CRTL><A> then an ascii character for the symbol then <CRTL><B>

In java <CRTL><A> is "(char)1" and <CRTL><B> is "(char)2"
