Blanking Layers?

How do you blank layers in wildfire? I have big mfg files and I need to get all of the datums and csys out of my way. I see that I can still make new layers but I still cannot blank them?

Click on the Layers icon, or in the Navigator click on Show > Layer Tree. Then select the layers you want to blank, right mouse click, and choose Blank Layer.

I called tech supprot and after they figured out that I had tech support, they pointed me in the right direction. Instead of the blank layer button they changed the format. Now if you open the layer tree icon, you right click on the item that you want to blank, then click on hide. Once this is done click on save status. This will blank the layer. I think with some of these issues that the programmers went out and drank their lunch.
