Parametric dimensions in tables

In a pattern table I want the pattern to move based upon a hole feature. The hole position is x=d1, y=d2, diameter=d3. In my pattern table I enter the dimensions for hole two as (d1+.25), (d2+.50), (d3). I save the table and exit. In this way I can have irregular patterns of holes of varying diameter and they should move together by varying d1,d2. When I vary d1 or d2 the pattern does not move. Editing the table I see that the parametric dimensions have been evaluated as a real number and the d1, d2, d3 are gone. In MDT or Inventor I could right click and create elaborate equations defineing position all parametricly. Have I missed something in ProE
