Open as Read Only

Dear Friends


In my office i can open two UG's (Without any license problem) in a sinlge PC. Normally i have to open one reference part in 1 UG and 1 working part in another 1 UG. But the working part should be saved and the reference part should not be saved. Even though there are lot of save options available (Iam using Save Work part only- Alt+F then W) by mistake i saved the reference part and get scoulded by others.


To avoid this in some softwares there is one option called openas Readonly. But in UG please tell me this option or any other this kind of options are available or not.


Kindly suggest to avoid this kind of problem.

Before you open the part file right click it, go to properties and check read only file attribute. Ug will open it in read only mode.
