Constraining sketches

rmb1978

Helo everybody,

I'm new in this branch and I need assistanceabout constraining sketches in NX3. Is-it possible to constrain a line with the coordinate system of the sketch?

EXAMPLE:

Let say a got this line of 10mm, parallel with OX, perpendicular on OY, first point of line P1:(x=5, y=10) and second point P2:(x=15, y=10).

I need to isoconstrain this sketch using the sketches coordinate system.

Can you please help me?

Thanks!

Create planes of coordinate system before sketch and use them for sketching. Than you can dimension to the planes.

If you already have the sketch created you will need to create a Datum CSYS and re-order it before the sketch. Then you can re-attach your sketch to the Datum CSYS and constrain to it.

In the future start with a Datum CSYS before creating a sketch if this is a technique you are going to use.
