I am new to UGS and am having problems figuring out how to make machine features in an assembly. E.G. Like making a hole through 2 parts after they are assembled. In SW, Pro/E etc... you simply select the surface and make the feature. Is this possible in UG? I am using NX4.
Then you will need to Link the bodies - Insert | Associative Copy | Wave Geometry linker and select the solids. Then you create the assembly level feature. I would create a sketch and extrude it thru multiple solids - subtracting the shape.
So when you create a sketch, extrude it, and sudtract it - how are you starting that sketch. I can't seem to select a surface of a part. Are you making a part, inserting it, then subtracting it?
