how to import UG files to PROE

hi,

Export the file to either .stp or iges

Then import it in Pro-E.

Its, that Simple.

Try it.!!

Cheers

There are 2 other methods besides IGES and STEP.

Wildifre can read a Parasolid file.

If you have UG loaded on the same machine as Pro/E AND you buy the UG 3D interface module for Wildfire, you can open a UG file directly in pro/E by selecting the file type of UG part file. This option is not cheap.

while iam export using IGES it shows:

translator image not found, the environment varaible IGES_DIR may not be set correctly.

meyya, please don't use iges. It's not a solid file and most times you'll have to sew together the faces if there are misaligned surfaces. The best way to export anything solid is step. Now, with Wildfire you can import parasolid files, which is even better than step.
