therez no specific option to create rib in UG.simply u hav to extrude a traingle shape profile..but u shud be careful while creatin at cylindrical faces.
U r query is little bit vast, any way to make a standard rib, some more methods ares there, other than using a triangle and extrude.
U can createa rctangular extrude, catch the diagonaly opposite faces and create a ruled surface, and use the trim body, this method is useful for cylindrical surfaces also. But the best modelling practice according to me is to have a triangular extrude, in that case u will not have any blending problems
