Another thing to try is the Mutual Trim Select the Trim Surface Command and select the Mutual Trim Option. The Mutual trim allows multiple intersecting Surfaces to be selected and then you can choose pieces to keep or remove to get the Geometry merged at the corners.
Usually if Keep surfaces option is selected the Surfaces will be joined together as a single Surface Body or (ProE Quilt) Sometimes it's easier to do a Regular Surface Trim to trim many surfaces back to a single Trim Reference and then do the Knit in a Separate Command.
One of the major differences between ProE and SolidWorks Hybrid modeling is that a Solid can be turned into a surface by using the Delete Face command. This reduces errors that are caused in ProE when a Solid Feature gets switched to a Surface. This takes some getting used to but SolidWorks has many stable surfacing Features like The Filled and Boundary Surfaces which are great for Geometry Patching.
