Flexible part in assembly

I have searched high and
low and cannot find an answer to this.

Is it possible to model a
flexible item in SolidWorks? ie. a flex circuit board, or a rope.
Establish the constraints on either end and allow the middle to slack?
I'm sorry for posting this in multiple forums, but I am unsure in which it correctly belongs.

I have a circuit board on an articulated mount. It is then mated to another stationary circuit board via a flex-circuit which is exactly what it sounds - a flexible circuit board. I want to model the movement of the articulated board while attached via this flex circuit to the stationary board.

The interconnecting flex circuit needs to bend in order for the the articulated board to move.

I do this by creating segments and mating them together. This works for springs, scales (like on snakes) for corrugated tubing etc. There are some tricks to making the mates easy to control... email me and I can enlighten you...
