i am joining two pipes(400mm and 100mm) in a T shape and need to make a stensile of the cut pattern for the pipes. the 400mm pipe will have a hole cut in order for the 100mm pipe to be inserted and then welded in place. is it possible to create these stensiles using solid works?
If I am understanding you correctly, I think that you want to use the wrap feature to project the profile of the T on to the pipe. This will give you a correctly distributed projection for the cut. If you haven't used this feature before, look in the help under "wrap".
