x y z corrdinte system

i am using solidworks 2005 and new to the software, when the program loads up the x,y,z, arrows are pointing with the y pointing straight up and the z pointing down and to the left and x down and to the right , i would like to change this were the z axis is pointing up and the x down and to the left and y is down and to the right is there a way of making this corredint system the default and also top veiw of the part i am creating were if looking down the z you are looking at the top ?

You can change viewing positions with view orientation.



From SW help "view orientation": (it is located at view toolbar)

  1. In the Orientation dialog box, double-click one of the
    named views to select the new orientation. For example, if you want what is
    currently the Left view to become the
    front view, double-click Left.

    Select the name of the standard view
    you want to assign to the current orientation of the model. For example, select
    Front if you want the current view to
    become the front.

    Click Update Standard Views
    button_Update_Standard_Views_Orientation.gif
    . This updates all of the standard views so they are relative
    to the selected view.

    Click Yes to confirm the update."
